Connor handles the technical side of LN70's projects. With his background in process automation at UNE and experience working with cloud systems, he translates complex needs into workable solutions. His expertise with Python and large language models has been essential for projects like Madgwick. Connor specialises in rapidly building prototypes that let the team test ideas quickly and improve them based on real feedback.

Shannon Tyrrell
AI INNOVATION LEAD
Shannon leads AI-driven innovation across the University of New England, designing and rolling out enterprise AI platforms that support teaching, learning, and professional operations. Her work brings together AI capability, learning design, and organisational change.
Often referred to as “the real Madgwick Wizard”, Shannon architects the interaction logic, prompt frameworks, and governance models that underpin platforms such as Madgwick and Cogniti. She ensures AI systems are clear, context-aware, reliable, and aligned with institutional policy, privacy, and responsible AI principles.Shannon manages complex, multi-stakeholder AI initiatives from concept through to adoption. She also leads the development of AI learning resources for students and oversees the facilitation of peer-led student AI workshops, alongside coordinating the Madgwick Community of Practice to support staff collaboration, shared learning, and continuous improvement in AI use across UNE.

He's focused on making sure innovations actually serve real needs in teaching, learning and administration.
